    Tower Technician - Entry Level
    Communication Builders, Inc.


    The Tower Technician will be responsible for the construction and upgrades to new and current communication towers and equipment through knowledge of structure construction and technical experience.

     

    Required Experience

    • Strong desire to learn and grow in the industry
    • Knowledge of sector & antenna configurations with respect to azimuths, cabling & identification
    • Ability to read, interpret and follow construction drawings & RF data sheets
    • Access to reliable transportation, valid IL driver's license and good driving record
    • Hard working & ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times
    • Ability to work safely and efficiently at heights
    • Must be safety conscious
    • Familiar with hand and power tools
    • Be willing & physically able to work at heights up to 200 feet in the field
    • Be willing to travel up to 2 weeks at a time (90% of our work is within driving distance of our shop, but 10% of our work we do travel and have crews stay in hotels near the jobsite for the project duration. CBI pays hotels and per diem on top of wages.)
    • Adhere to a drug free work environment and able to pass random drug testing
